Satinder Sartaj is a well known Punjabi singer and songwriter. He is a great Sufi singer. He came into limelight with his most successful song 'Cheerey Waaleya'. Born and brought up in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, he has attended 'Government College' and received his degree in music. Later, he joined 'Panjab University' situated at Chandigarh to attain a PH.D degree in Sufi music. Before starting his career in music industry, he was a music lecturer in the Panjab University. He has also appeared in Zee TV show 'Zee Antakshari' as a special artist. He made his first public appearance through the album 'Mehfil-E-Sartaaj' in year 2009 for which he received huge acclaim. His second album was 'Ibadat- Mehfil-E-Sartaaj' in the same year. He then came out with 'Cheerey Wala Sartaaj' in 2011. In addition to this, he has produced many hit singles including 'Nikki G Kudi' and 'Sai ve'.
