Sunny Deol is an Indian film director, producer and actor. He is also known as 'Action King of Bollywood'. He was born 19 Oct, 1956 in a Sikh Jatt family in village 'Sahnewal' of Punjab to famous Bollywood actor Dharmendra and Prakash Kaur. He is the eldest son of the family. He has brother 'Bobby Deol' who is also an actor in Bollywood and two sisters; Vijayta Deol and Ajeeta Deol, settled in California. Hema Malini is his Step-mother and he has two half sisters; Esha Deol and Ahana Deol. Abhay Deol is his cousin brother and also successful in Bollywood. To study acting he went to England and he made his debut in Bollywood in movie Betaab in 1983 opposite Amrita Singh. It was a blockbuster hit movie. He has won two National Film Award and two Filmfare Awards. In his acting career he has done many hit movies like ; Border, Ghayal, Ziddi, Ghatak- Lethal, Darr, Damini – Lighting, Arjun, Indian, Apne, The Hero- Love Story of a Spy, Gadar- Ek Prem Katha and Yamla Pagla Deewana. In his personal life he is married to Pooja Deol and has two sons; Karan Deol and Rajvir Deol. Karan Deol is all set to make his debut in Bollywood. Sunny Deol biggest hit to date, and also Bollywood's all time blockbuster was 2001's Gadar-Ek Prem Katha. The film catapulted Sunny Deol to numero uno status that is yet to be challenged.
