KTM 390 Duke currently stands as a benchmark for performance oriented street bikes in India. Being the only motorcycle to carry ride by wire throttle in its class, 390 Duke is even more powerful than the older version. Current ex-showroom price of New Duke 390 in Delhi is INR 2.39 Lakhs.
The 373.2 cc, single cylinder engine is good for 43.50 HP at 9000 rpm and 37 Nm at 7000 rpm. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox that further gets slipper clutch for ease of gearshifts. The motorcycle claims an under 6 second sprint from standstill to 100 kmph while braking comes through the huge front 320 mm and rear 230 mm disc brake with dual channel BOSCH 9.1MB ABS.
BMW G310R is all-set to be launched in India next month. It is an entry level street fighter from the European manufacturer. It carries a powerful 313 cc, single cylinder engine producing 34 HP at 9500 rpm and 28 Nm at 7500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox while the bike weighs just 158.5 kg.
The same is expected to launch with a price tag of around INR 2.60 lakh, further fluctuating with the BMW's placement plans. Both the bikes are offered with front USD forks, dual channel ABS and loads of other technological features. BMW G310R will rival none other than 390 Duke and Mahindra Mojo in its segment.
