Audi R8

Audi R8 is a two-seater mid-engine sports car which shares Quattro trademark, is manufactured by German automaker Audi AG’s private subsidiary company “Quattro GmbH”. The car was designed and developed by this company which is based on Lamborghini Gallardo platform. This car is manufactured in Neckarsulm, Germany. The production of R8 was started in 2006 and still going on. However, Audi is going to launch a new upgraded model of R8 in 2014 and so this model will be ended then. Audi R8 comes in four models such as R8 V8, R8 V10, R8 GT and R8 e-tron. The length of these car models varies from 4,431 mm (174.4 in) to 4,434 mm (174.6 in), width 1,904 mm (75 in) to 1,930 mm (76 in) and height 1,252 mm (49.3 in) to 1,252 mm (49.3 in). There are two types of engines available of this car such as 4.2 L FSI V8 2xDOHC and 5.2 L FSI V10 2xDOHC. Audi R8 has two transmission systems such as 6-speed manual and 7-speed R Tronic.
