Yamaha Fazer 25, the faired version of FZ25 carries the same 249cc, oil cooled and fuel injected engine producing 20.69 BHP at 8000 rpm and 20 Nm at 6000 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
Measuring 2015 mm in length, 770 mm in width and 1115 mm in height, the motorcycle feels almost the same in size when compared to nearest price rival, Bajaj Pulsar RS200. Yamaha offers 282mm front and 220mm rear disc brake on their flagship tourer. Fazer 25 weighs just 154 kg and undercuts the Pulsar by 11 kg.
Bajaj Pulsar RS200, on the other hand, is powered by 199.5cc, single cylinder liquid cooled and fuel injected engine producing 24.2 BHP at 9750 rpm and 18.6 Nm at 8000 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
Seat height is much more relaxed in case of Fazer 25 while Pulsar RS200 claims 810 mm of higher placed rider seat. Bajaj offers optional single channel ABS for INR 12,000 while Yamaha skips the safety feature on their recently launched product. Still, Yamaha Fazer 25 seems a more potent product with higher specification and better overall weight than Pulsar RS200.
