Recent years have been lot more happening than any time on the Indian history of automobiles. The motorcycle segment is growing at considerable pace and riders are now proudly preferring bikes with higher displacement in the country. These three bikes are typical examples of modern machinery that are actually available to the masses at a reasonable price tag. Yamaha FZ25 is the recent entry, competing very well against TVS Apache RTR 200 and KTM 200 Duke.

The most affordable out of all is the Apache 200, carrying a powerful 197.75 cc engine that is good for 20.23 BHP at 8500 rpm and 18.1 Nm at 7000 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. TVS is the only manufacturer on the list to offer ABS as an option while both the other bikes are offered without ABS and standard double disc braking system. Apache RTR 200 weighs 148 kg and offers optional fuel injected models in its lineup.

Yamaha FZ25 carries a price tag of INR 1,19,500 and comes out as the only bike to offer LED headlight as well as taillight as standard. It comes with a rider friendly, 249 cc engine producing 20.69 BHP at 8000 rpm and 20 Nm of massive torque at just 6000 rpm. It carries 282 mm of front disc brake for better braking than ever on entry level Yamaha FZ series. The low 148 kg of weight makes it quite efficient for everyday driving as well as highway riding.

KTM 200 Duke is powered by a 199.5 cc, liquid cooled and fuel injected engine that produces 24.6 BHP at 10,000 rpm and 19.2 Nm at 8,000 rpm. This makes it impressive among all with its lowest weight of 136 kg and highest rate of acceleration. It uses the biggest front disc at 300 mm while comes out as the only bike with USD forks on offer. KTM 200 Duke is the most expensive out of all at INR 1.43 lakh while RTR 200 is the most affordable at INR 89,215.
