Bajaj Dominar 400 is currently the closest rival to Royal Enfield Classic 350 in India. The recently arrived sports cruiser is powered by a 373.2 cc, single cylinder liquid cooled and fuel injected engine producing 35 PS at 8000 rpm and 35 Nm at 6500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox and uses slipper clutch for better riding dynamics. It is one of the most advanced motorcycle around the segment, carrying features like full LED headlight, 150/60-R1717 rear tyre, 2-channel ABS and fully digital instrument console.
Royal Enfield Classic 350 is a retro modern street motorcycle that uses a 346cc, single cylinder air cooled engine producing 20 PS at 5250 rpm and 28 Nm at 4000 rpm. The gearbox on use is a five speed unit. It comes with features like a front disc brake but lacks the safety as well as performance features of the Dominar 400. It claims just 110-120 kmph of top speed while Dominar claims 156 kmph. Dominar 400 comes with 43 mm while Classic 350 gets 35 mm front suspension forks, making it clearly the value for money product of the segment.
