Yamaha R3 and Benelli Tornado 302R are both from the twin cylinder, 300cc segment. Yamaha recently relaunched the R3 in India for INR 3,48,000 while Benelli launched the 302R in India for INR 3,48,000. Both of them share the same segment that is under high demand for its efficient and localization friendly nature.
Yamaha R3 is powered by a 321cc engine, producing 41.4 BHP and 29.6 Nm of torque. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox and claims a top speed of 188 kmph. The motorcycle weighs 172 kg and it now comes with 2-Channel ABS. It measures 2090 mm in length, 720 mm in width and 1135 mm in height. The wheelbase measures 1380 mm while the fuel tank on offer is 14 liters.
On the other hand, Benelli Tornado 302R is offered with a 300cc engine that is good for 38.26 BHP and 26.5 Nm of torque. It uses USD forks and dual disc brake at the front, making it feel more premium than the Yamaha offering. It weighs 198 kg and claim a top speed of 170 kmph. The seat height and fuel tank remains the same as R3 at 14 liters and 780 mm.
