Bajaj V15 and V12 are two different bikes based on the same platform. V15 was launched few months back while V12 was launched last month. The former came with premium commuter tag, carrying a 149.5 cc, single cylinder engine producing 11.83 BHP and 13 Nm of torque. It comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox and claims a price tag of INR 62,132. Bajaj V12 carries a smaller 124.5 cc engine, producing 10.55 BHP and 10.98 Nm of torque. It even uses a 5-speed gearbox and weighs 2.5 kg less than the bigger version.
V12 was derived from the V15, losing most of the premium components like front disc brake, tubeless tyres, digital fuel indicator and 10 spoke alloy wheels. It even looses the high power 55/60 W bulb from the V15. In addition to these changes, the V12 also comes with a different sticker pattern and covers for the front suspension. It targets the audience which is on a strict budget and wished to join the V family. The iconic fuel tank and headlight console's design remains the same for both the models.
