Bajaj Pulsar NS160 was recently launched in India at INR 78,400 (ex-showroom Delhi). The motorcycle carries exactly the same looks as NS200, making it the most impressively designed 160cc motorcycle in the Indian market.Bajaj is using a 160.3 cc, single cylinder engine producing 15.3 Bhp at 8500 rpm and 14.6 Nm at 6500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Few things that make NS160 lesser tempting than the rivals include a small 240 mm front disc brake, no rear disc brake and thinner tyres.
The closest rival, TVS Apache RTR 160, is powered by a 159.7cc, single cylinder engine producing 15.2 BHP at 8500 rpm and 13.1 Nm at 4,000 rpm. It comes with a price tag of INR 78,900 for the dual disc model.
The front disc even measures 270 mm while overall weight is still 5 kg lower than the NS160. Honda CB Hornet 160R is priced at INR 86,300 and comes with huge 100 and 140 mm tyres at front and rear end respectively. It even comes with CBS (Combined Braking System) on the top spec variant.
