Yamaha R15 V3.0 was recently unveiled in Indonesia, revealing even the smallest bits of the motorcycle in terms of design and performance. It now uses a 155.1 cc, liquid cooled and fuel injected engine producing 19.04 BHP at 10,000 rpm and 14.7 Nm at 8500 rpm. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox and uses slipper clutch for better gearshifts. The motorcycle carries a fresh design with twin front LED lights, air intake in the front frame and R1 inspired tail with good looking grabrail. R15V3.0 missed on ABS while claims to be the most powerful 150cc motorcycle around the world.
R15 V3 rivals the much awaited 2016 Honda CBR150R that is on sale in Indonesia currently. The motorcycle is even a considerable update over the Indian spec version, carrying LED headlights and CBR500R inspired design language. It is definitely good looking and carries a 149.16 cc, liquid cooled and fuel injected engine producing 16.9 BHP at 9000 rpm and 13.7 Nm at 7000 rpm. Honda CBR150R claims top speed of 135 kmph while weighs just 135 kg with full fuel tank. It offers a relaxed seat height of 787 mm while Yamaha R15 seat now sits at 815 mm. They would be tough competitors after their official launch in India.
