KTM 200 Duke was relaunched with BS4 compliant version for INR 1,43,500 (ex-showroom Delhi). The current price for the bike in INR 1.49 Lakh. The visible changes on the motorcycle can only be noticed from the Orange alloy wheels while the engine produces exactly the same amount of power as before.
Surprisingly, KTM claimed a weight of just 136 kg from the 200 Duke in its earlier version while the recent one has a weight of 148 kg. Bajaj Pulsar NS200 even went through a similar change as it now weighs 152 kg. The high price tag of the NS200 even sometimes feel unjustified with INR 97,700 being too much when compared to Apache RTR 200.
The engine on the Pulsar NS200 is good for 23.17 BHP and 18.3 Nm of torque while KTM 200 Duke is good for 24.6 BHP and 19.2 Nm of torque. The engine on the latter revs higher till 10,000 rpm for maximum power production.
KTM still claims 9.20 seconds for 0-100 kmph on the 200 Duke while Bajaj Pulsar NS200 has now crossed the 10 second mark for the same run. KTM equips the Duke 200 with USD front forks from WP while NS200 shares equipment with Pulsar RS200. The rivals in this price segment includes the newly launched FZ25 as it comes with a bigger engine but places itself right in the middle.
