Benelli 302R was recently launched in India for INR 3.48 lakh. Being the first motorcycle to carry ABS in this segment, 302R is a powerful rival for Kawasaki Ninja 300. The former is powered by a 300cc, twin cylinder engine producing 38.26 BHP at 11,500 rpm and 26.5 Nm at 10,000 rpm.

It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. It stays exclusive with its twin front disc brakes, measuring 260 mm each in diameter. Unfortunately, Benelli 302R weighs 198 kg, making it almost 26 kg heavier than its rival. Benelli offers just 14 liters of fuel carrying capacity with 302R.

Kawasaki Ninja 300 is powered by a 296cc, twin cylinder engine producing 38.5 BHP at 11,000 rpm and 27 Nm at 10,000 rpm. It weighs just 172 kg and claims a top speed of around 182 kmph. This makes it lighter, faster and much more agile when compared to Benelli 302R.

Short riders will feel delighted to own any one of these as both Ninja 300 and Benelli 302R offer 785 mm and 780 mm of seat height respectively. Kawasaki has priced the Ninja 300 at INR 3.60 lakh, making it the most expensive motorcycle of its segment. However, the price is now lower than its original value before GST.
