Bajaj Pulsar NS160 was launched in India for INR 78,400. This makes it the most affordable street fighter of India, directly competing against Honda CB Hornet 160R, Yamaha FZ-S and Suzuki Gixxer. TVS is still few steps away from revealing its Apache RTR 160 in the same body as current generation RTR 200. Pulsar NS160 comes with 160.3cc, single cylinder engine producing 15.3 BHP at 8500 rpm and 14.6 Nm at 6500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox and claims 120 kmph of top speed on the motorcycle.

In fact, all motorcycles of this segment use 5-speed gearboxes with 150-160cc engines. Honda CB Hornet 160R comes with 162.71cc, single cylinder engine producing 15.04 BHP at 8500 rpm and 14.76 Nm at 6500 rpm. Hornet is the only motorcycle in this segment to carry CBS as an option while Pulsar NS160 comes with oil cooling as standard. The Bajaj street fighter lacks efficient braking as they just offer 240 mm of front disc option while Hornet proves itself better with 276 mm front and 220 mm optional rear disc brake.
