Dhanteras word was originated from Sanskrit word “Dhan” which means “Wealth” and “Teras” means “thirteen”. Dhanteras marks the beginning of Diwali and is celebrated on the thirteenth day of Krishana Paksha. People worshiped Lord Kubera - God of Wealth and Maa Lakshami – Goddess of wealth.
