The name Dussehra is originated from Sanskrit language Dasha – Hara which means removal of ten. It shows the victory of Lord Rama 7th avatar of Lord Vishnu over ten headed Lanka's cruel king Ravana. So, this day is celebrated as victory of good over evil.
