Katrina Kaif was born on 16 July, 1986 with the surname Turquotte. Her father Mohammed Kaif and mother Suzanne Turquotte got divorsed when she was quite young. She has seven siblings, three elder sisters, three younger sisters and one elder brother. She started her career as a model at the age of fourteen.

Katrina was chosen as an actress by filmmaker Kaizad Gustad when she was modelling for the 'Lakme Fashion Week'.
