Volkswagen Tiguan was launched in India from INR 27.98 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The car rivals Hyundai Tucson while gets oddly placed in the segment where Toyota Fortuner is an undisputed rival. The intelligent four wheel drive car comes with a 1968cc, four cylinder engine producing 143 PS at 4000 rpm and 340 Nm at 1750 rpm.
Tiguan SUV comes mated to a 7-speed DSG while claimed fuel efficiency is 17.06 kmpl. Despite of getting off-road friendly features in its drive-train, Tiguan gets a ground clearance of just 149 mm. The top spec Volkswagen Tiguan is priced at INR 31.38 lakh.
