Mahindra Genio is subcompact four-wheel drive sports utility vehicle (SUV) designed and manufactured by automaker Mahindra and Mahindra Limited. The vehicle is basically an off-road vehicle. Mahindra Genio is a mini SUV convertible Jeep style car. The launching of Mahindra Genio was done on October 4th, 2010. The car was launched with an aim to fill the void left by its predecessor MM540. The Thar has been nominated as one of the top SUVs of Indian Market. The other three variants of the car are DI 2WD, DI 4WD and CRDe. The price range of the vehicle is of Rs 5, 49,000-6, 98,000. Layout of the car is front-engine four-wheel drive and front engine front wheel drive.
