Tabu, is a brilliant and talented Indian Film Actress. Her original name is Tabassum Hashmi. Tabu was born in Hyderabad on 4th November 1971. She is the niece of Shabana Azmi and the younger sister of actress Farah Naaz. Tabu is a very refined actress who has worked in mostly artistic movies rather than the commercial ones. All her roles were very meaningful and had a strong message to them, which is why she received great appreciation from critics on her work. She has bagged many awards with her outstanding performance. The most prestigious award the National Film Award for Best Actress was bestowed upon her twice. Also she holds the most Filmfare's Critics Award for Best Female Performer. She has not only acted in Hindi films but also Teluga, Malayalam, Begali, language films as well as a American movie, 'the Namesake' which received a lot of appreciation.
