Shefali Shah an Indian television and film actress. Shefali Shah was born in July 1972. Shah made her film debut with Rangeela (1995) in small role. Her first television show was Kabhie Kabhie. She starred in Satya (1998) which was a critically acclaimed film and for which she received the Star Screen Award Best Supporting Actress and a Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress. Shah starred in the hit film Waqt: The Race against Time in 2005 as Amitabh Bachchan's wife. Shefali received critical acclaim for her performance. Shefali’s breakthrough performance was as Ria Verma in the internationally acclaimed Monsoon Wedding. Later she appeared in some mature roles including the role of Kasturba in Gandhi, My Father and Anil Kapoor’s wife in Black and White (2008). She won a National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for Last Lear. She is the wife of director Vipul Shah.
