Priyamani original name is Priya Vasudev Mani Iyer and she is the cousin of Vidya Balan. She began her career with modeling for print advertisements. For these she was getting so many offers for acting in the movies and finally, starred in “Kangalal Kaidhu Sei” (Tamil) in 2004. Then she acted in a Telugu and Malayalam movie but both failed to be business success. However, Priyamani won National Film Award for Best Actress in the movie Paruthi Veeran (Tamil) and Filmfare Award for Best Actress- Malayalam in Thirakkatha.
