Sincere Condolences to PC, RIP Dr Ashok Chopra

'Daddy's Li'l Girl' needs so much of strength and courage to survive his father 'Dr. Ashok Chopra's' death. He took his last breath after fighting cancer on Monday, June 10th, 2013 at the 'Kokilaben Ambani Hospital' in 'Mumbai'. Her whole family was present in hospital at the time of his decease. 'Hrithik Roshan' and 'Shahid Kapoor' also hurried to the hospital when body was to be taken to Priyanka Chopra's residence. He was cremated on Monday evening at 'Oshiwara crematorium' around 5.30 pm.

He had long been suffering from Cancer and was taking a regular treatment. Dr. Chopra got admitted to Hospital just a few days ago in a very critical condition when Priyanka Chopra put on hold all his projects and organised a 'Mahamrityunjay puja' at her place, for her dad's betterment. He was at the parting stage of the disease. Always giving all the credit to his father for her success, she was very attached to her father. She has always described herself as 'Daddy's Li'l Girl' with a tattoo on her wrist of the same. For accomplishing his Daddy's dream she wanted to become a singer and released her first solo 'In My City' as a tribute to him. Dr. Chopra was a physician in the 'Indian Army' and had retired as a lieutenant colonel in 1997. Though he was ill, he had accompanied his daughter to TOIFA awards, Vancouver where PC won the Best Actress award for 'Barfi' and dedicated it to her Dad.

Biggies of Bollywood attended the last rites of Priyanka Chopra's father and blessed her with all the strength and energy. Bollywood celebs like 'Deepika Padukone', 'Karan Johar', 'Ranbir Kapoor', 's Hrithik Roshan', 'Sonali Bendre', 'Kunal Kohli', 'Anurag Basu', 'Uday Chopra', 'Ranveer Singh', 'Manish Malhotra', 'Madhur Bhandarkar', 'Ramesh Taurani, 'Ramesh Sippy', 'Daboo Ratnani', 'Vipul Shah', 'Puneet Malhotra' and many more. 'Shahrukh Khan' instead of his recovering shoulder surgery attended the funeral. Also 'Parineeti Chopra', Priyanka Chopra's cousin was also there with her relatives for support.

We are also sorry for  the unfortunate death of your father. Sincere prayers and strength! May you have the courage. May the departed soul be in peace!
