Mumtaj: About

Mumtaj is a popular Indian actress famous in the Tamil film industry. Mumtaj is known for her glamorous roles and sexy and steamy item numbers in her movies. Her debut was in the movie Monisha En Monalisa, where she played the lead role Monisha. The film received negative reviews from the critics, though. Even though her first movie did not do well and was even tagged as one of the worst films in Tamil cinema, she still tried and carried on acting. She continued appearing in Tamil movies from year 2000 to 2007 as she climbed the ladder to success. She has appeared in movies such as Kushi in 2000, Vedham in 2001, Vivaramana Aalu and Ezhumalai in 2002, Chellame in 2004, Rajadhi Raja in 2009, and Saguni that is filming in 2011. She was also a judge in Boys vs. Girl, a dance reality show on STAR Vijay on its first season. Currently she is a judge on the 6th season of Maanada Mayilaada on Kalignar’s TV.
