Emraan Anwar Hashmi is a famous Bollywood actor born on March 24, 1979 in Pulgaon, Maharashtra in a Muslim family to 'Anwar' and 'Mahira Hashmi'. He completed his studies at 'University of Mumbai' after graduating from 'Sydenham College', Mumbai. He is a cousin of famous actor Rahul Bhatt, actress Alia Bhatt, directors Pooja Bhatt and Mohit Suri and a nephew of director and producer Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt. Imran Hashmi started his career as an assistant director for 'Vishesh Films' and 'Vikram Bhatt' in 2002's famous horror flick, 'Raaz'. He made his debut in 2003 with Bhatt's 'Footpath' as one of the leading characters but the film turned out to be a flop. His first hit came in 2004 with Anurag Basu's 'Murder' in which he portrayed a negative character and got immense praise for his role. Also the movie was a blockbuster hit and one of the major grossing movie of that year. After that, he appeared in many successful movies under the production of 'Vishesh Films' but majorly noted for his bold scenes with a large number of actresses and thus got his nickname as 'Serial Kisser' due to the involvement of large number of kissing scenes in his movies which was highly irregular in Bollywood movies. He was also nominated three times for 'Filmfare Awards' and is a famous celebrity in both India and Pakistan. In December 2006, he also married to his long-time girlfriend 'Parveen Shahani' after six and a half years of courtship and the couple has their first son 'Ayaan Hashmi' on February 3, 2010. He is also currently working with the biggies of Bollywood such as 'Karan Johar', 'Kareena Kapoor', 'Kunal Deshmukh', 'Ekta Kapoor' and 'Danis Tanovic'.
