The Honda Unicorn is one the first bikes that was developed in India which had mono-shock. The motorcycle was developed a designed by the Honda R&D team residing in Osaka. The engine of the motorcycle was taken from a CRF 150F and the design of the bike was done keeping the Indian road conditions in mind. There were many new features incorporated in the bike. There was a two-way air jacket, a diamond frame, an engine that would produce a torque of 12.8NM at a relatively low RPM of 5500. The fuel economy of the motorcycle was excellent. The first version had only kick start.
