Ganesh Acharya is an Indian choreographer, director and an actor. Ganesh gave up his studies in childhood due to his father’s death. After rigorous training in dance from his sister, Ganesh Acharya became assistant to famous choreographer Kamal, until he died. His first choreographed film was Anaam released in 1992, when he was 21 years old. He has choreographed for many hit films, such as, Lajja, Rang De Basanti, Phir Hera Pheri, Golmaal, Omkara, Lage Raho Munnabhai, Bodyguard, Singham, Double Dhamaal and many more. In 2007, he won Filmfare award for best choreography for the song ‘Beedi’ of Omkara film. He has directed few films, like Swamy and Money Hai To Honey Hai and acted as a villain in a Tamil movie, Rowthiram released in 2011.
